Are you coming to EcoArc2010?
Jan 29th -Feb 7th
You'll be visiting us on the Pacific West Coast of Mexico.
We are North of Semi Tropical Puerto Vallarta which is in the State of Jalisco and South of semi arid, Mazatlan, which is in the State of Sinaloa.
We are in a near perfect little eco system in the state of Nayarit. Our village is just behind a costal mountain and very close to the sea.
Our warm Pacific current will provide you with winter temperatures of
70 to 85 degree range, while your temperatures will be in the -20 to 40 degree range.
You're going to be talking about EcoArc2010 for years.
This is a quiet party for invited family, friends and CAPULIN supporters who wish to come, see, learn and share.
Packets for this week long fiesta, the tours, workshops and authentic entertainment is an investment in social integration. It is your opportunity to make an Arc between some good people who want to make things better, and some good folks who need to have things made better. The perfect fit!
Whereas we have no idea of the actual response numbers to anticipate, we're hoping for a little community feed back.
First, let us know if you'd like to be a part of the fiesta at all?
Then some idea of your preferred accommodation options:
Interdependent 'ala cart'
Please plan on letting us know as early as possible, so there will be enough time to secure sufficient rooms. Your cut off date will be December 20th.
You must be on the guest list to participate. If you wish to participate but are not on the list, you must become an affinity member associated with someone who is.
If you would like to be placed on the 'keep up dated' list, reply personally to us here or send an email to: firstname.lastname@example.org
Folks can camp out, camping should have site options, photos and maps.
Local camping will probably be at the CAPULIN Patio Site and in designated areas through out the village.
Remote camping will have additional charges as guides or counselors will need to be available.
Long pants and boots are HIGHLY RECOMMENDED trail wear for remote camping. Tennis shoes and shorts are not recommended for the trail, wait until camp is made.
Stay in the village. It is our intent to introduce you to our villagers and our life styles, there will be rooms to rent in our village and you can share and learn directly from your new amigos.
There will be two plans: rooms and rooms with board.
We are anticipating that your village stay for the week will be under a $100.00, and with 2 meals included for an additional $50.00 U.S.
Stay at an incredible beach hotel... we're renting 25 rooms of a luxury hotel for the week. Up to 4 people can share a hotel room.
We are still negotiating but it looks like the ocean view rooms will be $300.00 for the 6 nights of the tour. 2 to 4 occupants. And rooms without the ocean view will be under $200.00 for the six nights. We are also arranging a breakfast buffet to be available as an option add on to your package and a flat 10% discount off menu meals.
Notes on the down side:
Many CAPULIN supporters are in the Arizona region and there will be a conflict with the Gem Show. We hope that this does not overly affect local Tucson supporters from participating in EcoArc2010/
We are forced to limit the number of packages which will be available to our family, friends and CAPULIN supporters. Wrist bands may be issued and/or required for entry and participation to the events.
A list will be kept online of the available packages and their description, when they go on sale.
Sending us a $200. deposit will secure a package for this week long visit with you and all of our friends and neighbors, mixing together for the finest Mexican Fiesta ever seen in our village!
We still need to set up banking arrangements for everyone's ease. Soon!
Having no idea what the official exchange rate will be in Jan/Feb the prices quoted are as close as reasonably possible in U.S.D. Participants, any monetary exchange benefits will go to the CAPULIN EFFORT.
Official Packages will be available by December 20th, long before you arrive.
A calendar of events and scheduling is being prepared now.
A price list and cost break down sheet is also being calculated. The more participants there are, the cheaper the packets will be.
Our village has a different culture, this is a new experience for them and the folks have a limited capacity for sudden changes. Minimizing our impact on the village is a strong consideration and to insure some economic and social exchange, the package includes a $50 peso credit at each of the 3 local stores. Approximately $15.00 worth of Merchandise during the week, whether or not you use it.
EcoArc2010 is not a public event. Please do not make unwanted publicity for us. If you wish to have your friends and family join in, that's fine but they must be associated with your affinity group and their presence is dependent on your presence!
The Bus Package:
Departure Friday 29th of January 6:00 PM
Tucson to the village.
Return to Tucson Saturday February 6th
Arrival Date: February 7th
The Plane Package: Due to the fact that folks will be coming from all over and at different schedules.... PLEASE.... Plan Plane Schedules to co-ordinate with our tour bus Transportation from the Airport in Puerto Vallarta directly to EcoArc2010 which will depart PV at 2:30 pm 30th of January.
The Car Package.... There will be a charge for parking. Day users, locals and guests will have different parking areas.
Car Camping sites will be available at the beach as well as in the village.
Yes, you will have a small fee to share as well. Figure on $25.00 for village camping for the event and $50.00 for beach camping.
Interdependent.... 'ala cart' pricing will be broken down and shared later on an 'ala cart menu'.
There will be everything imaginable.... from first class hotel accommodations, live in visitor in a Mexican home to wild jungle camping...(No dangerous wild animals left).
Wild Bird and Alligator tours, Coffee Tours, Waterfall excursion, a beach day, equitable land sharing workshop, jungle restoration and the medicine cabinet workshop .... and more, so much more!
We want to provide an ecological arc which would allow CAPULIN supporters and other good people there, to work with good people here, sharing the wonders of this land exploring common interest of ecological restoration. We want everyone to have an opportunity to see for themselves who they're really supporting.
All of this, right in the middle of our village Fiesta. Yihaaaa! Music, Mariachi groups, Traditional Mexican and Indigenous Dancing, Jaripeo, Incredible Authentic Mexican food parties (from both cultures), chili contest, birria feast... etc etc etc.... lots of cold Corona and Modelo!
So plan on it! Mark it on your calendar and be here.
Can't Come? You can still be a Padrino or Madrina for EcoArc2010!
Whether or not you can come yourself, you can help make EcoArc2010 an unforgettable experience for our village and all who come to learn what is going on behind a cup of CAPULIN.
Write to email@example.com for personal explanations.
As host's, CAPULIN is going to expend a lot of time and money to put this fantastic show together. Here in Mexico, to put on really wonderful fiestas, folks are invited to be Padrinos of one part or another, to help defray the burden of having really great fiestas. Those who are familiar with the custom could volunteer to contribute something to EcoArc2010.
The costs of this event are the real costs of the event, there is no profit taking, so any help coming our way for this magnificent experience will be greatly appreciated.
Contribute here and become a CAPULIN Padrino for EcoArc2010
Banking has yet to get organized but there is plenty of time for your deposits, what we need to know mostly is your interest in continuing to be updated.
